Lady Gaga Meat Dress on Display

Lady Gaga’s infamous meat dress has gone on display at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC.

Yes, the dress, which grabbed headlines the world over when the mega-star unleashed it at the MTV Video Music Awards is constructed out of 25 pounds of pure Argentinean beef and has become the pride and joy of a new exhibition.

Now treated with chemicals, dried and painted to its original bloody red hue, the dress and boots Gaga wore were a bold political statement.

The quirky star told the press the meaty ensemble was about standing up for what you believe in, because if you don’t, you are simply reduced to a piece of meat.

Taking up permanent residence at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, the dress has been loaned to the DC museum as part of their “Women who Rock” exhibit. There are over 250 artefacts on display, including Rihanna’s studded bustier and Taylor Swift’s guitar.

“Women who Rock” runs until January 6th
